More 100 Days Of School Activities

There is soooo much good information out there on the web for 100th day of School ideas! Visit http://www.atozteacherstuff.com/ to find different number grids. Click on 100 Day theme and scroll down to find the heading "100 Charts". The charts are for filling in 1-100 by 1's, 1-100 counting by 5's with the 5's filled in; counting 1-100 by 10's with the 10's filled in and all filled in with number 1-100 . You can use them in a variety of ways.

Adjust the number grids to your child's level by cutting or folding the grid at the point you think necessary for your child. Make a game of it too by using dice as a counter or choosing number cards.

http://www.abcteach.com/ also has math grids as well as other 100th Day of School ideas. This site has free downloads and is also a subscription site.

Because 100 is such a large number and can take a time to do these activities in one or two times..... stretch it out over a week or 10 days.
Here are some literacy ideas to do:
  • Read 100 books - write the names of the books down after you read them
  • Say 100 words
  • Say the ABC's 4 times
  • Clap the parts of 100 words/names - do 20 at a time over 5 days
  • Find 100 familiar words in a magazine or the newspaper and highlight or circle them
  • Cut out 100 pictures of things I like and glue them into a book "100 Things I Like"
Again do these activities over 10 or more days prior to the 100th day.Record what you do. Make booklets of 10 pages stapled together - one for 100 books (10 per day over 10 days) and the same for words/names and things I like. Add stickers to match the words your child can read. Your child could take one of these booklets to school to share his/her 100 things!

Enjoy! Susan
